Clip art images do what images are supposed to do in such a setting: complement the words, not distract you from them.

While it's not free, sites such as istockphoto offer high quality images at a very low cost (as low as $1 per image), and their selection is so broad that you can find absolutely anything and everything.

If you really need your images to be free, try the Creative Commons. On this website, you can find images that are free to use because they are under a special license to be shared with others. The philosophy behind this idea is related to the philosophy of sites like Wikipedia: information should be free on the Internet. While the amount of dance images you can find here is considerable, you'll have to make sure that the image you want to use is truly under a creative commons license; many results returned by the website are erroneously categorized as being under creative commons.

Whatever you need dance images for, be sure to check the license before you use an image. While it may be time-consuming, it is much better than being approached with a lawsuit because you used an image you assumed was free, but was not.
