This is due partly to the fact that the muscles used in ballroom dancing vary greatly than that of other forms of dance, significantly reducing the amount of strain placed upon the body during rehearsals and competition. Furthermore, ballroom dancers almost always work with a partner, meaning they can easily adapt their routines and create their own stunning choreography, rather than depending upon death defying leaps and spins often found in the world of elite jazz, ballet, and modern dance.

The Beginnings of Ballroom Dance Training

Almost all professional ballroom dancers start their training at an early age.
