Yes, Michael Jackson's death is still surreal. Learning the steps to Thriller is a great way to make sure his legacy lives on and on...I still think the best way to learn the dance is to watch the video several times while standing up and try to 'mark' what the dancers are doing. The dance looks great overall, but if you start really studying it, you'll see that there's a lot of repetition throughout the video, making it easier to learn. Good luck!

Hi Care, Dance 'Thriller' like you've never danced before. The steps are simple, but with a lot of attitude, the way Michael Jackson danced it himself, is by far the best way to learn to dance 'Thriller'.

Hi Das, yes he was such a pro! Have you seen the duo 'Signature' from Britain's Got Talent? They do an amazing version of 'Thriller' in the semi-final of the competition--not Michael Jackson himself, but this is the best impersonator I've ever seen!

Interesting to hear not everyone loves this song---it seems to be very popular, both the song/music AND the dance. Perhaps it has to do with music video television history as well! In any case, thanks for sharing!

There is no tap dancing in the Thriller video...perhaps you mean the section where Michael Jackson first starts dancing? In that section there's no singing, only the whole group dancing in the street. Perhaps this section could use a little pepping up, but the Thriller video is immensely popular just the way it is.
